Political meme

I was very kindly tagged by both Madam Miaow and Harpymarx about early political experiences. In some cases it's not easy to remember, in others my job requires I keep my online gob shut. However, here goes it:

First political experience. Difficult to categorise, isn't it? But, in no particular order, organising school strikes against the 1991 Gulf War, dissecting the lyrics to The Smiths' The Queen Is Dead, getting caught red-handed spraying anti-nazi graffiti with my mates, getting people to sign petitions to scrap Section 28 and so on.

First vote. Possibly the Greens at the 1996 local elections.

First demo. I'm pretty sure it was in January 1991 against what is now known as "the first Gulf War".

Last vote. Lib Dems in 2005, when they were in with a massive chance (isn't Charles Kennedy sorely missed by the way). I then didn't vote for them locally as they entered a coalition with the Tories on Birmingham city council. I couldn't vote at the last European elections.

Last political activity
. As such, in 2006, as a short-lived T&G rep at work.

Now, if you're there, Uponnothing, then it's your turn.

Ha! I think there was a demo in January 1991 (or there abouts) as I am sure I went on it. I think I attended all the demos against the Gulf War.

Dissecting the lyrics to The Queen is Dead...oh, the days...
